Georgia Psychology and Counseling

interest in working with clients with anxiety symptoms such as stress and worry, social anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, and obsessions and compulsions.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina (USC), followed by a Master’s degree in Applied Clinical Psychology from USC Aiken.  I have experience leading parenting groups and anger management groups, and I am confident in addressing areas of need such as attachment and positive parenting skills, communication skills, and appropriately managing negative emotions.  I have extensive experience with college students while interning at the USC Aiken Counseling Center and have the tools to work effectively with adjustment problems and stress management.  I believe that with the proper tools, anyone can overcome their current obstacles, whether short-term stressors or long-term problem areas.  I believe in tailoring treatment to the individual and helping people achieve your goals using research-supported treatment methods.  I consider my foundation to be cognitive-behavioral in nature, but think that many helpful interventions can be applied from other styles of therapy to cater to your personal needs.

I am currently accepting new clients at a self-pay rate of $60 per hour session, and am waiting on credentialing by major insurance companies for coverage by your insurance plan in the coming months.  I look forward to hearing from you!
